Being Called – by Veliko 2025
This song is written about Matthew 4: 18-23
and influenced by what Gina has written for Prayer Corner
I see Thee, Lord, by Galilee,
Thy sandals kissed by shore and sea,
The boats are moored, the nets hang dry,
Yet in Thy gaze, the heavens lie.
The fishermen with calloused hand,
Didst hear Thy voice and leave the sand,
No question asked, no burden borne,
Just hearts that rose like light at morn.
O call me, Lord, as Thou didst then,
Beside the sea, through dust and men.
I’ll cast my net no more for gold,
But follow Thee, brave, strong, and bold.
Thou walked the path where sinners trod,
Yet every step revealed our God.
With healing hand and Gospel word,
Thy voice, though soft, was always heard.
Did they but feel Thy holy flame,
Before they knew Thy wondrous Name?
Or was it love, too pure to flee,
That drew them fast to follow Thee?
O call me, Lord, as Thou didst then,
Beside the sea, through dust and men.
I’ll cast my net no more for gold,
But follow Thee, brave, strong, and bold.
O Christ, if I had walked that shore,
Would I have dropped my life for more?
Yet now Thou call’st in Spirit’s breath,
And bids me rise from doubt and death.
Thy Galilee is here today,
Where’er Thy footsteps lead the way.
And I, though weak, shall not delay—
Thy voice still calls, I must obey.
O call me, Lord, as Thou didst then,
Beside the sea, through dust and men.
I’ll cast my net no more for gold,
But follow Thee, brave, strong, and bold.
Amen... Amen... I follow Thee.

Speak With Grace
This song is written about James 1:19-26 and influenced by what Angie has written for Prayer Corner
My dear brothers and sisters, let your heart be still
Quick to listen, slow to speak, may God renew our will
When the world is aching—wars, hunger, fear and pain
Let our tongues be bridges of grace, not words in vain
Lord, I’m feeling weary, quick to anger, quick to cry
Calm my heart, bring healing, help me speak Your light
Gift of grace, let Your words fall from my lips like rain
Speak with love, speak with truth, take away my shame
In my weakness, make my voice a comfort, not a wound
Let kindness be the echo of Your love in every room
Children trembling in the hallways, trauma fills the air
Mass loss, displacement, grief we’re tempted not to bear
When frustration rises, when my patience runs so thin
Give me words of gentleness—let Your peace give in
Even when I’m tired and stressed, let grace flow through my breath
Shape my tone with humility, let kindness overcome unrest
Let not my tongue sin, but bring hope to broken hearts
May every phrase I utter mirror Your love, Lord, from the start
Gift of grace, let Your words fall from my lips like rain
Speak with love, speak with truth, take away my shame
In my weakness, make my voice a comfort, not a wound
Let kindness be the echo of Your love in every room
Lord, I’m feeling weary, quick to anger, quick to cry
Calm my heart, bring healing, help me speak Your light
May my words show grace and truth, reflecting who You are
A humble voice of mercy, shining bright like a star
In Jesus’s name, Amen—I speak with healing balm
Grant me the strength to speak Your peace, to be my neighbor’s calm
